Great product features in the wild: Canva Pause Subscription
Just saw the "pause subscription" feature on Canva and I found it amazing!. My daughter uses canva a lot for school and we wanted to pause the subscription for summer and seeing that they do support this makes me realize that their product team really study their audience and create features that fit our needs! This is something I would love to have and make our users feel when they use Seed! ❤️ If you want to learn more about how to pause your Canva plan: you can go here: https://www.canva.com/help/pause-annual-canva-plan/ (Photo by Swello on Unsplash)
This is Why Real Leaders Don’t Give Orders — Seth Godin
It's very important to know the difference between being a Leader and being a manager. and there are some great examples of this in this video. Do you have other examples of being a Leader vs being a Boss?
Why Are Beach Holes So Deadly?
I was not expecting a video talking about digging holes in the sand to be that interesting! I was also impressed by how much knowledge and engineering expertise geotechnical engineers are expected to have!
Modeling resizable panels using State Machines
I rewatch this today and It bugs me how some frontend developers don't see how much value this brings to UI development. What are your thoughts? Comment! I wanna hear from you
SR-71 BlackBird
I have not finished seeing the video, but I got hooked with how much engineering was available in the 60's! It reminded me how much better was the Hypertext ecosystem then compared to now...
The Riddle That Seems Impossible Even If You Know The Answer by Veritasium
This was a fun video to watch: I honestly thought that they needed to have a code or something to hint other prisoners where the number was. Another solution i thought was that some prisoners were just able to open the even numbers or the odd numbers. I did not thought about the actual solution! After watching the video tell me: were you as surprised as me with the solution?

Sometimes what we only need is to decide to put our work out there. it does not matter much in the beginning. What matters more is how consistent you are. State machines are great, but hard to establish
As much as I love working with state machines in the frontend side of the UI, the most hard thing to do with it is to convince your team that they are great and they solve most of the problems in terms of logic, feature iteration and confidence in the code you push to production. One of the worst scenarios I am right now is when some app logic is inside the state machine and some is outside. Is really hard to follow what is actually happening when there's this mix of state logic in the same app/feature. what about you? Do you love/hate state machines? what is your current opinion of them?
Do you consider Luck in your Life?
I'm not sure if we need to think that we are in complete control of our destiny first and then realize that luck plays a big part on our success, but maybe is something that we need to balance?
